As part of Singapore’s adjustment of Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) level from Yellow to Green, the Singapore government announced that COVID-19 safe management measures at the workplace will be fully lifted from 13 February 2023.
Changes in Safe Management Measures in the Workplace
Safe Management Measure |
Requirement from 13 February 2023 |
Appointment of Safe Management Officer |
Employers are no longer required to appoint a safe management officer. |
Notification of COVID-19 Infection |
Employees are no longer required to notify their employers of any COVID-19 diagnosis. |
Implementation of Safe Management Measures |
Employers are no longer required to implement any safe management measures (e.g., mask-wearing, safe distancing, contact tracing, ART testing).
However, the Ministry of Health still requires masks for visitors, staff and patients in healthcare and residential care settings. Other authorities may require masks in designated settings. |
Monitoring Plan for Safe Management Measures |
Employers are no longer required to maintain a detailed monitoring plan for ensuring compliance of safe management measures and timely resolution of issues. |
Employers are still allowed to maintain their own company safe management policies for workplace health and safety or business continuity reasons and employees may continue to wear masks as a matter of personal preference.
